Funniest thing in the world is to make fun of someone that loves music, right? Someone that is attached to their music so much that it’s everything in their world? It’s freaking HILARIOUS. 

I wonder if those people that make fun of me ever stop to think that maybe my music is the only thing that keeps me from leaping off the edge of a building most days, that it’s one of the only things that keeps me from turning back to self harm. Yeah, I’m obsessed with a singer, band, song, what-have-you, but at least I’m not addicted to drugs or alcohol. And at least I’m not sitting in my room cutting myself anymore. I’m out at concerts, making friends, taking pictures, spending time with the people I’m “obsessed” with. 

Would you rather have me curled into a ball, depressed, or worse dead, or would you rather have me happy and vibrant, ecstatic that these people are giving me the time of day and telling me to believe in and chase my dreams with everything that I have? Seriously.

Okay, so Linkin Park fans have officially pissed me off. I used to include myself among these kids as Street Soldiers, but their closed-mindedness has finally pushed me to my breaking point. “spam” artists? EXCUSE ME? How do you think Linkin Park got their name out there? How do you think they were able to get noticed? How the hell else am I supposed to get my name recognized if I’m not allowed to go onto other artists’ pages and promote my music?  I’m sorry, but you all need to pull your heads out of your asses and stop being a bunch of pricks. If you refuse to listen to someone who promotes their music through your favorite band’s page, you’re never going to learn to love other artists. I guess that’s the story with Linkin Park fans anyway. They’re really closed-minded to other musicians and other types of music. They only listen to Linkin Park and that’s it. And saying that you listen to Fort Minor and Dead by Sunrise is not listening to other bands and types of music.  I know this doesn’t apply to every Linkin Park fan, but it applies to the majority of them. I know because, like I said, I once included myself in this group of kids. I know how they get so ingrained in Linkin Park that they just forget about everyone else.  All I can say is: I’m glad I got out of that phase. Grow up, kids. How in the hell do you think Linkin Park got its name? According to all of you, it was by NOT promoting through other artists. Right.
